Is BS Player Advisable to download?

I'm trying to decide wether to download BS player or not. I'm about to use it to play .srt and .avi together but according to the player, I still need to download FFD show, Flash Video, MPE G2 decoder and many more. Also if ever I deleted my BS player in the future, would everything be the same? Is it as if I've never downloaded it? Does it also affect a lot in processing cause seriously there are about 70 files my pc is processing and I haven't even opened the internet. Please anyone advise me!
