Question about ovulation?

Ok so my period last month was 5 days late and about a week before..when it was supposed to start I had a very faint pink discharge that only lasted a few hours...than 5 days later my period came but was unusually light and short...and now in mid cycle I had brown spotting for 2 days and now egg white mucus type discharge....anyone have an explantion? No I don't have a disease...just had a pap and no my period is NEVER weird like this...its the same every month..about 30 day cycle and 5-6 days long
